SMILE attends IFIP 14th Summer School on Privacy and Identity Management

Dr Mohamed Abomhara from NTNU presented SMILE H2020 Action at IFIP summer school on privacy and identity management on August 19, 2019, in Brugg/Windisch, Switzerland. The focus of the presentation was on the border control and use of biometrics. More specifically, Dr Abomhara focused on the reasons why the right to privacy may not be absolute.
The 14th edition of the IFIP revolved around the relationship between AI and privacy. More precisely, its primary goals were to identify the main threats to individuals’ rights and freedoms and discuss challenges to reconcile Artificial Intelligence and privacy.
